A Gal's Beauty Tools

I'm back with a post for you today, this time talking a little about issues I have and how I solve them. Of the many beauty tools I have, I've chosen these two products to talk about because I feel that they aren't that well-know and to me, these have become quite essential!

Should I start with the amazing ice gel mask for the eye area? I picked this up from CVS a few months ago, and days when I want to look my best, I've found that this thing really helps calm down the unbelievably swollen face I wake up with... almost all the time. If you aren't one that bloats or swells, well... either you are genetically blessed or you are super conscious of what you eat! I'm neither of both-- meaning, I am one to bloat really well and on top of that, I sometimes eat a few fattening things before I sleep, making me swell even more.

Having a I-just-woke-up-like-dis face isn't a pretty face, at least not for me! I put this gel mask thing in the refrigerator the night before so that the coolness can really sink into my skin. My eyes swell a lot, and my cheeks. I like to put this around my eyes for at least five minutes. The longer, the better. Then, if I have time, I'll let my face cool down by resting this on my cheeks and what not.

If you are one to bloat all the time, this is almost too good to be true. Simple and efficient. You'll see it when you take pictures, the difference it makes.

Now, the other tool is something a little embarrassing but not really, because hey! I'm not the only one. It's a tool for those who have a little fuze on their upper lip... or really any facial hair they want to get rid of! This tool by Tweezerman definitely won't be the best for other unwanted hair, but seriously the best for facial hair.

HOW TO USE: It's a little hard to get used to at first, but it does what a tweezer does but more efficiently and way more quickly! You place it against the area of hair you want to remove. As you move it against the way the hair grows, you have to twist the sides of the handle in the direction the arrows are pointing. Make sure that when you place the tip of the tool on the skin, it is on the flatter side of the tool. If you look carefully, you'll see that on the tip, one side is a bit flatter than the other. You place the flat area to your skin, then move it and twist the handles at the same time. (see picture above)

RESULTS: What I love about it? As I said, so quick and so freaking efficient! And I absolutely hate to to wax any part of my face because gah! It's so painful and it sometimes leaves a scar if you don't do it well. And it's a fuss, it really is. But this tool? It even gets to the ROOTS and here is the best part. It doesn't hurt as much as tweezing them out or waxing it. And I'm sure most girls don't but... I do have one friend who does use an eyebrow shave to get rid of unwanted hair on the face, but I don't think that's a good idea at all! It'll leave the hair thicker and more noticeable.

So, here are my fave beauty tools right now! Hope it was helpful xx

  1. Hahah, no need to be embarrassed! I just tweeze any upper lip hair in my case! I totally need a mask like that for putting on at night!
